CNTRFLD.ART is an unincorporated charitable association established exclusively for charitable purposes and for the public benefit. The organisation is governed by a formal constitution and is recognised by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as a charity for UK tax purposes (HMRC Reference Number: ZD67011), with effect from 24 February 2025. Operating as a small UK charity under the Charity Commission registration threshold, all income and assets are applied solely in furtherance of the organisation's charitable purposes.
Its charitable purposes are to advance education and to advance the arts, culture and heritage by preserving, documenting and researching East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) artistic and cultural histories, and by providing free public access to educational resources that promote knowledge, understanding and public appreciation of the arts.
